The Jersey Shore universe just got a little sweeter. Sammi “Sweetheart” Giancola, the original heartbreaker of Seaside Heights, is trading in club nights and drama for diapers and midnight feedings. The 37-year-old reality TV staple announced on Instagram that she and fiancé Justin May are expecting their first child.
“We’ve been keeping a little secret… Baby May Due August 2025,” Giancola teased in a post that sent waves through the reality TV nostalgia circuit. But this isn’t just another influencer pregnancy announcement—it’s a story of resilience, heartbreak, and ultimate triumph.
For years, Giancola battled infertility, a struggle she now openly shares. “After struggling through years of infertility, this is the absolute greatest blessing we could ever possibly ask for!” she wrote. “We are so thrilled to finally be able to share the news of our little miracle with you all! Our hearts have never been so full of love. We can’t wait to meet you, baby!”

But this joy comes after deep sorrow. Just months ago, Giancola revealed on Jersey Shore: Family Vacation that she suffered a miscarriage following a failed round of in vitro fertilization (IVF). “Just the thought of even being pregnant was such a magical moment for me, and just to have that taken away… it’s devastating,” she admitted on the Nov. 21 episode.
Through it all, May stood by her side. “He’s so positive and uplifting,” Giancola said of her fiancé. “He’s so special to me, and I just am so thankful for him. He’s been by my side through this whole thing. I just love him.”
When May proposed in March 2024, Giancola didn’t hesitate. “The easiest question I’ve ever answered,” she wrote at the time, gushing over her soon-to-be husband.
