The internet loves a good meltdown, and when a video of Lily Phillips breaking down in tears after sleeping with 100 men in a single day went viral, the online peanut gallery was quick to paint the scene in broad, scandalous strokes.
Another broken woman, chewed up and spit out by the adult industry. Another cautionary tale.
Only, Lily’s having none of it.
In a new interview on the Holly Randall Unfiltered podcast, the 23-year-old adult star is setting the record straight—and taking aim at what she calls the “explosive narrative” that surrounds women in porn.
Exhaustion, Not Exploitation
Phillips’ now-infamous moment of emotional vulnerability came during the documentary I Slept With 100 Men in One Day, filmed by Josh Pieters. In it, she admitted to “disassociating” from the act as the marathon sex session wore on.
Sounds bleak, right? But Lily says context is everything.
In reality, she was simply worn out after a brutal 14-hour session—and an even longer interrogation by the film crew.
“It was probably an hour of questioning with the documentary team,” she explained. “And people don’t realise things are edited down to look like two minutes, when actually, we were having a very in-depth chat.
“And yeah, I think I was just very exhausted.”

Awkward Conversations and Guilt Over ‘Disappointing’ Partners
But physical fatigue wasn’t the only thing weighing on her. Lily admitted that one of the hardest parts of the day was having to tell her sex partners—many of whom had traveled long distances—that their moment in the spotlight was over.
“I had to have some awkward conversations with the guys about feeling like I let them down,” she said. “Like, what they were expecting versus what they got.”
At the end of the day, she wanted them to have a good experience, but the reality of a 100-man challenge meant there was only so much she could give.
“I had to turn around and be like, ‘I’m so sorry, your two minutes are up… you need to get out of here.’ And I felt really bad and awkward.”
‘I Love This Job—Stop Acting Like I’m Miserable’
The internet saw tears and assumed regret. Lily saw hard work and a tough day on the job.
And that’s what frustrates her the most.
“I hate this narrative that just because I get upset, or I’m exhausted, or I’ve had a hard day, it means I hate my job or I’m being exploited,” she said. “That is my number one ag with this.”
Far from being a victim, Lily says she’s grateful for everything the adult industry has given her.
“I love this job. I love everything this industry has given me.”

The Truth About Porn: ‘We’re All in This Together’
Lily also rejected the idea that porn is inherently exploitative. In fact, she believes the industry is misunderstood—especially by those on the outside looking in.
“I don’t want people looking into the industry to think everyone’s so exploited here,” she said.
“It’s tricky because when you’re in this industry, I’ve met some of the nicest, kindest people. Everyone’s so open-minded. We’re all in this together.
“And then it’s everyone on the outside who thinks this job is the worst or that we’re being exploited.”
Final Word: A Tough Day, Not a Tragic Story
Lily Phillips didn’t have a breakdown—she had a long, grueling workday. And she’s tired of people trying to turn it into some kind of horror story about the adult industry.
She’s not broken. She’s not a victim. And she sure as hell doesn’t need saving.
The only thing she needs? For people to stop twisting her reality into a headline that fits their own agenda.
